What we collect

Analytics

Pages viewed, approximate location by country, device and browser type, and how you arrived. Aggregated, and used to decide what to write next.

Outbound clicks

When you follow a link to a broker we add a referral parameter identifying us as the source. The broker may then set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.

Messages

If you use the contact form or email us: your name, your email address and whatever you write.

Broker accounts

If you claim a broker listing: your work email address, a hashed password, the broker you represent, and a log of the changes you make to that listing.

We do not ask for and do not want your date of birth, your address, your national identifier, your account numbers with any broker, or anything about your trading. If you send those to us unprompted we will delete them.

Why we are allowed to

Under the UK and EU GDPR our lawful bases are: your consent for analytics cookies, which you can decline; our legitimate interest in running and funding a free reference site, for the referral tagging; and the performance of a contract for broker accounts, which exist only because someone asked for one.

How long we keep it

• Analytics: aggregated, retained up to 14 months.
• Messages: up to 24 months, so we can pick up a thread later.
• Broker accounts: for as long as the account is open, and 12 months after closure for the audit trail of changes made to a public listing. The change log is the record of who edited a published page, so it outlives the login.

Who else sees it

Our hosting provider, which serves the pages; our analytics provider; and the provider that delivers form submissions and account emails. Each processes data on our instructions. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with brokers: a broker receives a referral code, not a person.

Cookies

Analytics cookies only, plus a session cookie if you are signed in to a broker account. Declining analytics changes nothing about what you can read. No advertising or profiling cookies are set by us.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to hello@top100forexbrokers.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU and are not satisfied, you can complain to your national data protection authority.

Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect anything about children.

Changes

Material changes will be dated at the top of this page. If a change affects what we do with data we already hold, we will say so rather than rely on the date alone.
